We fed the fire all night; resting in each others arms, telling stories, getting to know each other, fucking. Repeat. All throughout the night. As dawn came the blizzard had turned to bright sunshine.

“Should we check in on Bill, poor thing?” I ask while finding some coffee to brew in the kitchen.

“Naw, if I know dad he probably had a few drinks and then drifted off to sleep, thinking it was just a bad dream or something. Lets just drive home and surprise him.”

“What do we tell him?”

“Tell him you lost your phone. Some sicko found it and played a joke on him.”

“What about us?”

“It’ll be our Christmas secret.”

“Oh, no, Mr. Lynch. I’m not waiting till next Christmas for more great sex. We’ll keep it a secret but I want you every night.”

“We can have Christmas year round,”

“I like the sound of that.”
